DOORS (Diversified Opportunities for Older and Returning Students) is a special admission category for persons aged 21 or older. Applicants are admitted to the University as non-degree seeking students.

The DOORS admission status waives some academic credentials, including ACT/GPA requirements. You must have a high school diploma or GED to apply for the DOORS program. If you are denied admission to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as a regular degree seeking student, you cannot be admitted as a DOORS student.
